The world’s religions are as diverse as the world’s people. And even within large belief systems—say, Judaism—there are many differing ideas and interpretations about matters spiritual. Here we attempt to give an overview of some of the overarching systems of belief and their stances on the end of the world. Likely, these pages won’t cover the religion it its entirety, but will try to show some of the variety of thoughts on the apocalypse. We’ll clamber out on the most precarious heretical branches root around in the ideas that are shared between denominations. Suggestions welcome!
